R Non-immigrant worker is for

a minister;
-
a person working in a professional capacity in a religious vocation or occupation;
-
a person working for a religious organization; and
-
a member of a bona fide nonprofit religious organization for 2 years immediately preceding the application.
Initial admission is for 3 years while the total admission is limited to 5 years. Visa application at US embassy or consulate is allowed without CIS¡¦ approval. Need to file a new petition if change of employer.
